If you have car insurance in the United States you are covered while driving in any state.  However, You are not covered outside of the United States.

You would have to get insurance in that country while driving a vehicle.

Always be safe and learn about the driving rules and regulations before you go abroad.  Do your research and protect your assets.

Some people want to have the freedom of driving a motor vehicle while traveling, but keep in mind, most countries have a good train and transit system for their citizens.  Its your choice, so make the right choice for your situation.
